Tensions Soar Along 1,600-Mile Border After Taliban–Pakistan Exchange of Strikes

Taliban has launched a retaliatory military operation against Pakistan, and claimed to kill Pakistani soldiers and captured 15 military posts. This attack started after Pakistan's airstrike, in which 18 people have been killed, including women and children. On the other hand, Pakistan is denying all the claims by Afghanistan, and being said that the Pakistani Army hit them hard in the airstrike. The escalating violence marks a significant breakdown of a fragile ceasefire agreed upon last October and heightens tensions along the 1,600-mile mountainous border between the two nations.
